Recently, the CDC changed its guidance with respect to outdoor face coverings, and New York state subsequently adopted this guidance as law. In accordance with this change in law, we have amended our team face covering rules: specifically, we have lifted the face covering requirement at outdoor team events for people who have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (as defined by the CDC). The team respects that it is the responsibility of members to truthfully represent their respective vaccination statuses. This change is effective as of today, April 29.
The team will still require face coverings at the start of runs as members gather, although fully vaccinated members can opt to remove face coverings as soon as the group run breaks into smaller pace groups. We are maintaining a cap on runs to keep the size of the group small.
