Lori S. Weisenfeld, DPM
Sports and Running Podiatry, Foot and Ankle Specialist
Dr. Lori S. Weisenfeld is one of New York City’s most highly regarded sports podiatrists, with more than twenty years’ experience treating runners, athletes, and dancers from around the world.
Dr. Weisenfeld is a Clinical Advisor to the American Running Association, and has been a medical volunteer at the finish line of the New York City Marathon for two decades. She is board certified in both podiatric surgery and podiatric orthopedics. She is on staff at Mount Sinai Medical Center and the Gramercy Surgery Center. Dr. Weisenfeld is a graduate of Boston University and New York College of Podiatric Medicine. She has special expertise in heel issues, neuroma, metatarsalgia, bunions, shin splints and conservative care of running injuries.

Stram Acupuncture was founded by our Dashing Whippet teammate Russell Stram, a highly accomplished runner, licensed acupuncturist, and sports physical therapist. Stram Acupuncture provides high-quality acupuncture and physical therapy to runners and non-runners alike. Russ says, “We care for you to achieve your goals and improve the quality of your life.”
Stram Acupuncture aims to treat the whole individual. Its method, a blend of acupuncture, physical therapy and pilates, is an ideal treatment for all orthopedic and sports injuries that do not require surgery. The clinic is also skilled in supporting post-surgical recovery and can provide relief from everyday complaints.

Sarah Sanborn, LMT specializes in sports and orthopedic massage to treat the body while relaxing the mind. Focused technical bodywork ensures proper analysis and treatment of conditions related to training and racing, while warding off the chronic injuries that can result from an active lifestyle.

Sarah is a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT). Sarah received her massage education from the The Swedish Institute, after an undergraduate degree from Bryn Mawr College. Sarah also holds a doctorate in acupuncture from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine
Sarah is a passionate about Crossfit and is currently training for her first marathon in over 6 years, so she is well acquainted with the runner’s lifestyle.
