Team Training Runs Cancelled

Dear Team,

To safeguard our members against COVID-19 and to help reduce the spread of this highly contagious virus in our broader community, we have made the decision to cancel all team runs and events beginning tomorrow, March 12, 2020. As of now, we expect that all runs and events will remain cancelled through the end of March. We are actively monitoring this evolving situation, and will keep the team updated on a regular basis with any additional changes to our run and event schedule.

We recognize that team members may want to meet informally to run, but we urge you to keep groups small if you do so in order to minimize both social exposure to, and the spread of, COVID-19. We further recognize that may people will continue training on their own during this period, and we suggest that you reach out to our coaches at coach@dashingwhippets.org with any questions you have on our training plans. You will continue to receive an e-mail from Scott Batten each week with training instructions for the week.

You can locate additional resources on COVID-19 on the Center for Disease Control and Prevention website (cdc.gov) and can follow New York City specific developments through the office of Mayor Bill de Blasio (nyc.gov).

If you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to reach out to me at matt@dashingwhippets.org.

Please stay healthy!

Matt, on behalf of the board
