2022 DWRT Track Meet Results
We are pleased to bring back the Dashing Whippets Track Meet in 2022! Thanks to all of the sponsors that make this possible, especially Bakline!
The 2022 Dashing Whippets Track Meet will be on Saturday, May 14, 2022 at the East River Park Track (East 6th Street and the East River). Registration opens at 8:00 with the first event beginning at 8:30 am. The track is accessible via pedestrian overpasses at East 10th or East 6th Street. CitiBike docking stations are located along Avenue D at 3rd/ 6th/ 8th/ 10th/ 12th Streets.
Order of Events:
8:30am – The Jessyca Scarpone 5000
9:45am – 4x200M relay
Rolling Schedule:
- 1 Mile Run
- 400 Meter Dash
- Kids 100 Meters Dash
- 800 Meter Dash
- Distance Medley Relay (1200 – 400 – 800 – 1600)
- 4 x 400 Meter Relay
The 5000 will start at 8:30 am; the 4x200M Relay will start at 9:45 at the earliest and we’ll continue with a rolling schedule after that. Women’s races then Men’s races. For events with more than one heat, heats will be held with the fastest first.
Entry fee is $15 in advance and an athlete can run as many events as they wish. Race day, price will increase to $20. The meet is USATF sanctioned and will be officiated by USATF officials.
