Eligible races can be either an official race on a USATF-certified course, or a track meet officiated by a USATF-certified official. International races may be certified by their equivalent governing body.

Athletes must be in good standing with the Dashing Whippets at the time of the race and at the time of the record submission. Records are verified and approved by the Dashing Whippets Coaching Team.
