Get Involved in the Club
Run Host Team
The Run Host team is responsible for kicking off each of our 10+ weekly runs, including welcoming new members, outlining the planned workout, and dividing the group into smaller pace groups of Whippets with similar paces.
Social Events Committee
The social committee organizes our team events, including the Golden Hammer Awards Party, our biggest team event of the year. The social events team also throws after-parties following major NYC races and happy hours throughout the year.
Cheer Committee
This committee plans and organizes the team’s race day support squad, cheering for Whippets racing in NYC and beyond.
Volunteer Committee
This committee organizes the Whippet’s community and volunteer efforts. In the past, the team has organized crews to volunteer for NYC Parks beautification efforts, the annual New York Cares Winter Coat Drive, and water stations at charity races. The committee is responsible for identifying and sourcing volunteer opportunities, which are open to the entire team for participation.
