Hey Whippets!

This weekend will shape up to be a great race weekend. On Saturday, we have the 4-miler in Central Park, and on Sunday, DWRT will be competing in the first Brooklyn Cup race in Prospect Park. The weather forecast looks great for tomorrow morning at race time, a sunny 33°F (feels like 24°F).

If you haven't picked up your bib yet, you can do so at New York Road Runners (9 East 89th Street) this afternoon and evening from 1:00-7:00 p.m. On race day, number pickup will be available at the registration tent near the start in Central Park from 7:00-8:30 a.m.

The race starts at 9:00am. As usual, let's meet 30 minutes before that at baggage drop at 8:30am. We'll break into our pacing groups, do a short warm up before heading into the corrals. Because there is no colored corrals, as Naomi mentioned, let's try to get to the starting line early so we won't be stuck in the back of the crowd.

After the race, we'll be cheering on other Whippets near the finish line so look out for us there. We will meet back up at baggage drop at 10:00am and grab brunch at Fred's on the Upper West Side (84th and Amsterdam) at 10:30am.
