I have two volunteer credits.. NYRR 4 miler and the Chase Corporate Challenge, so we will see what happens!! Best of lottery luck to everyone, and I hope whomever gets in has a great time!!

Any way to double check that we are all set and properly submitted for the lottery?

12 Whippets fulfilled the DWRT marathon lottery requirements this year to obtain one of the five NYC Marathon entries that we received because of volunteering. Thanks to everyone who participated!

The six captains reviewed all the submissions and it was our privilege to pick one person as the captains' choice. Many people were very worthy of this selection, so it wasn't easy, but when we considered factors such as participation at practices and events, positive spirit, drive to improve, and support for teammates, we were very happy to choose Tessa B to represent us. Congratulations, Tessa!

Remaining slots were drawn in a lottery, with one entry for every time the person volunteered. The lucky winners are:

In the unhappy event that someone on this list has to drop out, the Captains chose two alternates. They are Andrea H and Yosuke M.

And ANYONE interested in doing the marathon this year has the option of getting in by raising money for an NYRR-approved charity. If you choose to go this route, let the team know and count on us to support you!
