Our Tuesday night Central Park training workouts are typically tempo runs or hill repeats. These workouts are usually very well attended with a wide variety of paces.
We will wait 5-10 minutes for Whippets before we start our run. Please show up at the starting point to get the full workout details, including distance, pacing groups, expected run time, and where we plan on meeting at the end. You can expect a typical workout to be between 5 and 8 miles (or less during hill workouts). After our run, we will perform stretches at the designated finish area.
Please note that there is no place to store bags inside Central Park. Pack light, or store your bags at a nearby gym if you are a member. Another option is the New York Running Company at Columbus Circle, which stays open until 9pm: http://www.therunningcompany.net/new-yorks-homepage

Recommended workout for 2/21...
WINTER MARATHONERS: 1 mile warmup, then 4-5M (BOSTON) or 3M (NOLA) tempo run at half marathon pace - 15sec/mile. Finish with 1 mile cooldown.
EVERYONE ELSE: Lactate Alternation Run -- 1 mile warmup, then 4-6 mile continuous run alternating between half marathon pace + 15 sec/mile and half marathon pace - 15 sec/mile. Finish with 1 mile of easy running to cool down.
