For our Tuesday night training runs, we meet at 86th and Fifth Avenue. If you're in need of bag check, you can use NYRR for bag check (closes at 8:00pm) or NYSC (at 86th and Lexington) if you're a member.
We will wait 5 minutes for Whippets before we start our run. Please show up at the starting point to get the full workout details, including distance, pacing groups, expected run time, and where we plan on meeting at the end. You can expect a typical workout to be between 3 and 6 miles. After our run, we will perform stretches at the designated finish area.
When you RSVP, please post your pace time and/or training run distance for the day. You may also use the Talk about this Meetup area to start a discussion.
Can't find us? Call Scott at 646 - four nine six - two three one two.
Wayyy to go Marathoners! Ridiculously inspiring video I found because one of the girls who climbs at my work is in it...amazing though and thought I should share it!

Ok, so I am going to start without you for an easy then swing around to meet you guys! I realized on a long run Saturday I need help!
Tonight's workout will be a moderate tempo run with 3 or 4 loops of the reservoir, but remember to meet at 7PM at the USUAL spot: Fifth Ave. at 86th St., on the park side of the street. Marco, Annette, Paul, Kayla -- just look for the only clump of runners standing around in the cold at that spot, and you'll find us.
Special thanks to Megan for co-captaining the workout, and to these members for leading pacing groups last night: Jennie, Emily, Yosuke, Marvin. If anyone else actually led last night, or wants to lead in the future, let me know!
Emily's 9-min group smoked it! I think they've been holding back in their races... I expect big things in the December 10K!! :)
For 10K and Winter Marathon runners, 11/9's plan is a moderate tempo run around the Central Park Reservoir. Repeats of 5 min easy, 1 loop "comfortably hard". Distance = 3-4.5 miles for beginning/returning and developing 10K runners, 6-7 miles for intermediate 10K runners and marathoners.
