    Hey all,

We'll do mile repeats tomorrow! We'll do four to six of them at 5k pace and rest for 3:30 in between. Let's make sure to get a good warm-up in beforehand.

Might not go tonight. Well... Today. Exactly a month from marathon day I felt that pain we are all scared of. Yep, shin splints. Not sure if it hurts more because I'm freaking out and can't stop thinking about it or because there is something wrong. So I might skip tonight's workout and start treating this. I have 20 miles to do this sunday and that's my last shot to get them done. Sorry guys.

Oh yuck. Feel better! Yeah, tapering so I'm feeling all the phantom last-minute panic pains like my knee hurts. Good luck and ice them!

Oh and just to clarify, that was the OTHER Patricia who was running those breakneck speeds. Elizabeth's friend. Don't want everyone to think I took some magic elixir that made me speedy overnight.

And I was going to ask for the recipe for the elixir, Patricia

Yes, you're supposed to be tapering so you can run fast in DC and get Ryan Hall's autograph!

Yes, although now that I think about it, this whole autograph thing with the window only being from 12 to 1 is a sneaky motivational push. Megan, you'll have to say my words for me as I won't have caught my breath by that time.

I was landing at LGA just around the time you guys would have been doing drills - thought I even could see the track from the sky :) Am bummed that I won't be able to make another Thursday workout until mid-November!
