Queens Training Run

No location was chosen

What: 13 miles Not the easy way
How: no mercy on this one. Minimum 9 minute mile, that said, we will keep it together so faster runners "slow down" or be gone.
Where: meet 9.00am at the dunkin donut under The N train astoria boulevard station in astoria.
The course is very New York from eccentric east Harlem to our familiar Central Park back to astoria hell gate. I love it but it is challenging.

This is a rain or shine event. Further more any body part causing a runner to whine will be amputated on the spot.

sylvain; I like it! I'm a little scared of the guaranteed crap weather that tomorrow will be; we may slow it down a bit due to the weather (or maybe speed it up to get home faster!); either way, I'm down. will call you in the morning, JUST IN CASE. cool route though, and I love that we'll be passing through randalls island.

Sylvain, I'm interested in meeting up with you when you hit Central Park. (I'm doing a race from 8 to 9.) Will call if I'm definitely going to meet you.

sylvain; ya when it gets nicer in the next weeks or so, I would definitely like to "host" some runs in Forest Park; nice trails; nice loops, hills/stairs/climbs and all sorts of goodies. I'll scout it out and try to figure out mileage but the way trail runs are, we can also just plan on doing, say, a 90-minute run, no matter what the distance, know what I mean?

Hi--- I don't know the area that well yet either, but I think Jeff could show us around.

Mentioned next Sunday; maybe one of you could set up something on here and see if anyone else is up for it? Will be glad to meet some Queens area runners:)

today was miserable, but post-shower, amazing. thank you sylvain for leading the way; we had a great time, great route and looking forward to more scenic routes in the lovely borough of Queens! although to be fair, we covered Manhattan and the Bronx (kinda) too!
