Training Run

Central Park (map)

Selected By: Matthew

We are moving the training run up to 6:30 on Tuesdays. This will allow us to use the NYRR for bag check. We will meet on 86th and Fifth Avenue and split into training groups. If you can't make it at 6:30, please use this to find a running partner!

i will be doing a tempo run at 8:00mm around the big park loop. i might be a little late since leaving work early is tough for me, but i should be at nysc around 6:30-6:35pm for those that need a bag drop. can anyone else provide a locker?

Hi all! I, too, can provide a locker and will get there earlier 6:15-6:30pm. Excited about my first training run. Hope I can keep up!

hey tom, we meet up at the beginning and break into groups of similar pace depending on who comes. skimming the list of who's coming, it looks like there will be a bunch who will be running 8:15-9:00mm pace and i'm sure you'll find someone to run with!

Hey Annemarie, I believe the pre-meet and bag drop off is in front of the New York Sports Club at 86th & Lex., and I'll be there around 6:15pm. At around 6:30, we run over to the actual meeting spot at 86th & 5th. See you soon!

Way to go, Jeffrey -- that's no joke! We have a so-called 8mm pace group, but last night it was mostly in the 7:30-7:45 range...

We welcomed Annemarie, Tom and Johnny to their first Training Run with the Whippets! I ran the first mile with the tail end of the group, then caught up with the rest of the group on to do the full CP park loop. http://conn... We did Rathbones afterwards as usual.

Did the park loop with Ale at about a 9mm. Knee held up better than it has in ages. Nice to meet some new people too. All in all, a great night.

Nice turnout and mix of paces. Thanks to Patrick, Emi and Rich for helping me keep on pace for my tempo run.
