You know what they say: lunch the day before the marathon should be the big carbo-loading meal. I recommend the Original Pancake House: http://www.yelp.com/biz/original-pancake-house-chicago It is incredible and the portions are huge.

I think when I signed up I signed up as a dashing whippets member, and I remember sending my info to someone a couple months ago. But if you still need more info, let me know. I'd totally love to run under the whippets banner.

Just registered the team! We're registered as a Blue Team, which the form states: "Blue Division is designed to foster healthy competition between friends, family, co-workers, or running club buddies." Should be fun if we actually place!

Not specific to Chicago but I love Maggiano's. Could be a good dinner spot pre race carb loading since they take large groups. original pancake house is awesome too. Great brunch place - their baked apple pancake is delicious! Other places to check out while in town: deep dish pizza (Lou Malnati's or Gino's East) and hot dogs (Hot Doug's or Portillo's). Let me know what you guys have planned or want to do. will definitely meet up and hang out!

Does anyone know if this will be televised in NY? What channel? I can't find it in the the Time Warner cable TV guide.

Sadly, TV stations don't really care much about televising races. NYC will not show anything other than the NYC Marathon, and they only show elites and celebs, and the telecast is only for a couple of hours.
