Pre-Race Dinner will be at Maggiano's (1201 Filbert) at 5:30. So far I have Scott +1, Benny +1, and myself. Let me know if that changes, and I can update the reservation.

Is anyone using the pace groups? I just signed up for the 3:10 pace group which equates to a 7:17 pace, but I expect to fully fall apart at the halfway point.

Hi, Ben -- I'm thinking about it but want to check with Gaurav. He and I have different pace goals, so it's complicated.

I know it's premature, but this is the forecast for marathon Sunday in Philly: Sunday, Nov 22 Sunshine High: 52°F Low: 36 °F !

Not too bad. At least it won't be snowing! I'm probably not going to be using a pace group.... This is my first marathon, I don't want to try to push myself too hard and not finish.

Got an email from PhillyMarathon today -- my bib # is 5015, which is in the Gray Corral. I am guessing I'll be in the second wave start.

I've been watching the longterm forecast too. It's been hanging around the mid-30s for what I estimate the temp to be at race time. That's fine with me as long as it stays dry.

Weather forecast has warmed up to mid-40s at race time, high in the 50s. That will be a nice change from last year...

I'm #4062 which puts me in the green corral. Will look to get that adjusted to hopefully the black corral at the expo. Probably won't be following a pacer either. My training for this hasn't been going well. Will just go run and hope for the best. Weather forecast is constantly changing! They're now predicting showers!

I'm #3260 ... putting me in the Green Coral. No showers forecast at the moment :-) I'm nursing a calf muscle tear, so don't think I'll do faster than 4:00. Scott/Ben/Yosuke lets try to meet up before we leave for Philly.

Weather was perfect -- 40s and low 50s, dry, cloudy, no wind. The Philadelphia crowd was more numerous and supportive than I expected, and course was flat and fast as advertised. RECOMMENDED for a first-time marathoner...
