I can't guarantee parking but, I would recommend parking by Bishop Ford. The front of the school faces the trench of the Prospect Expressway and Green-wood Crematory is behind the school. Usually losts of spots on a Sunday moring

Josh -- what's your phone number? I might take you up on the cab share but won't know until Sat night. (No weekend email access.) My number is 646-496-2312. Ben -- yes, parking is bad all around the park. When my friends have driven, they've eventually found spaces on one of the numbered streets (9-16+) that go off Prospect Park West. Good luck.

Does anyone know about the parking situation around that area? I would drive too, but I heard parking is bad. Any suggestions on where to?

Thanks Scott! Where did you get the Subway info, I'm looking online and it says no advisories for the F. MTA is so confusing!!!

Jess -- you're just doing one loop, right? You'll be starting on the west side of the park and doing a quarter-mile that goes gently downhill, then three-quarters flat, then a mile of steady uphill. (The first half mile isn't so bad, but the second half mile is a killer uphill to the highest point in the park.) The third mile is rolling hills, and the last part of the loop (toward the start/finish) is a nice downhill. All in all I find it a challenging course....

Damn the subway! Now it will take me ages to get there :(.
I've never run the Prospect park loop, a course summary would be awesome. Like the ones you guys wrote up for the CP 4miler, where to expect hills etc... Thanks!

Also, for Sylvain and anyone else who's interested, here's a map of the course as of 2008 If you zoom out, it will help you with driving directions. http://www.mapmyrun.com/run/united-states/ny/brooklyn/587...

Rich -- here's some additional info, courtesy of http://www.active.com/running/brooklyn-ny/cherry-tree-10-...

"Baggage check will be provided ... outdoors adjacent to the start/finish line." Also -- URGENT INFO FOR ANYONE COMING BY SUBWAY -- this weekend the F/G train is not running to the closest subway stop (15th & Prospect Park West/Southwest). You can get a shuttle bus at Jay St. or catch the 2/3 or Q to much-further-away stops.

The site says: "Start is 200 yards south of Center Drive on the inner loop roadway. Enter the park at Bartel Pritchard Square and walk south on the inner loop roadway." I haven't figured out a good meeting spot, but we'll most likely be near the outdoor bag check area or starting line. I'll send out those details on Friday. Here's a link to where Bartel Pritchard Square is: http://www.dashingwhippets.org/venue/1030555/

Amazing turn out and a great showing by the relay teams who kicked major butt. It was lots of fun cheering on everybody. Proud of my relay team of Patrick, Gary and me that finished 13th place out of 26 for the Male Relay division in a time of 1:05:55. I ran first leg: http://connect.ga...
    •  I was surprised how fast the run flew by. Having all the Whippets there for support was awesome. I couldn't wait to get back around to the start to hear all the cheering.
    •  I like the Prospect Park short loops. Great race and even greater group of people. Now that I have a Whippets jersey I run faster:) Thank's Rich for piking up the numbers.
    • Short Distance Coach/Pacer (7:30-8)
Fun relay, well-run, would do it again!

Beautiful morning. First run in prospect park. PR. http://connect.ga...
    •  Really fun to do something really different. Different course, smaller race, and the relay hand-off was really exciting.
