    From NYRR:
Who Do You Like in the Super Bowl?

Let the world know who you think will win Super Bowl XLIV during the NYRR Gridiron! Simply run in the lane on the 102nd Street Transverse that is designated for your team: the Indianapolis Colts or the New Orleans Saints. The results will be tabulated and posted after the race.

Bizarro, right? Considering I'm hoping for a PR, whatever lane is on the inside is the one I'll be running in, be it the Colts or Saints.

Benny, Yosuke, and I ran the course twice today. The first mile goes up cat hill, mile two seems pretty flat, mile 3 has a little uphill climb up to the reservoir, and then it's all downhill to the finish line. I'm going to go out hard for the first 1.5 miles, try to maintain my goal pace through mile 3, and use the downhill and adrenaline to get to the finish line in a PR. If you have a chance, enter your goal and your strategy and maybe pair up for the race.

I hope everyone can meet up before the race. I'd like to get a 1-mile or so warmup beforehand and will try to get that in starting at 8:30 to make sure to have enough time to get into our corrals. Try to get to bag check a little before 8:30! I hope we can all get into corrals together and try to push each other throughout the race.

Just heard this will most likely be a team points race so I encourage everyone to sign up as soon as possible. It will be voted on at the NYRR club council two weeks prior so I won't know for sure until then, but would like to base the vote on who will be able to make it.

Ran 4M in 27:19 (6:49mm) at the Gridiron Classic for a PR! http://connect.ga... Fun running after Patrick who kicked my butt for 3.8 of the 4M. Excellent showing by the Whippets despite the crazy cold temperatures.
    •  Coooollld....wake me up when May arrives
    •  Short, cold, painfull and rewarding. This team is awesome.
    •  30:19; PR, but I was hoping for 30:00. Maybe I can get that once it gets above freezing :). Great team showing!!!
    • Pacer (7:30-8)
Ran 6:54 mm for the first 3.88 miles. We all know what happened after that. Rich had better watch his back at Run for Haiti.
